my mbed is heating up

18 Mar 2011

I don't know if my device is ok, it is hot, like 30º C (86 ºF) it works fine, is this high temperature normal?

my other microcontrollers are not so hot... i'm afraid is something wrong with my mbed and it's going to wear out

The thing is i get that temperature with HelloWorld.bin, but i think its Ok, sometimes if i save a binary to mbed and then delete old ones it doesn't run the program, the last action before reset must be to copy the program, maybe it's because of my linux distro, but everyhing is fine now, thanks...

What are you running it off ? Just the USB or an external power source ? I had one overheat once when I was running it from a 9v battery and drawing quite a bit off it. It cheered up when it cooled back down though.
