Firefox 64 bit, nightly build compiler won't init

16 Nov 2012

I get an error message to report to support that compiler won't start up.

Hi,

We aren't officially supporting FF nightly builds, because these versions often contain experimental features, like the IonMonkey in FF18 nightly, and these features require extensive testing before being released.

Thanks for the bug report still!

Hi again,

We've just fixed the initialization issue for FF19.0a1 nightly, which in this case had to do with undocumented introduction of CR in the getAllResponseHeaders() - a routine that had been working since FF3.5 in 2009. This is what I meant with nightly builds being too experimental :)

Hopefully this is the only issue with the FF nightly, though if you experience another problem feel free to report it. This doesn't mean we are going to officially support these builds or that the priority on finding workarounds would be at any priority - we might look after them if we have the time.

The fix is applied against the current Compiler public beta which can be enabled at http://mbed.org/betamode/

Cheers,
Mihail
