I find myself constantly getting frustrated when I try and hold shift and click to select code (and it not working in the mbed compiler). (at least not in Firefox 3.6.8)
Howto: Click at the start of a block of code, press shift and click at the end of the code ==> code is selected. It's useful for large sections where you would otherwise have to scroll with the mouse pointer held down.

Another thing is the lack of a replace tool. I believe it is a fundamental function, and should be implemented if you plan to have developers use the mbed compiler exclusively for developement. Having to copy and paste to notepad++ to replace is far from an elegant solution.
--
I haven't tried the beta version, but please let me know if either of these features are available.
Cheers
