mbed not mounting on Mac OS X Lion

Help....

I am blocked. Currently Running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 however now when I plug in the mbed it shows up in the USB Prober however it will not mount. If I leave the MBED plugged in and reboot it mounts however if I unmount it and try and remount, it fails. If I try a new MBED it fails and no error information is logged to the console. I am not too sure if this is strange however when the drive mounts after a reboot it shows up as MS-DOS (FAT12) in the Disk Utility. I have made sure that the program I am running does not use anything in the local file system so it can't be that.

Does anybody have any ideas? I don't like having to reboot a Mac to mount a USB stick... :(

Here is the USB Prober information, it identifies it as mass storage.

Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

A couple of questions just to help rule things in/out

- Do you have machines with another OS, if so, do you find that the mbed is mounted correctly on those machines

- If you plug in a regular USB flash stick, do you see the same issue, i.e. does your Mac mount regular flash drive?

- Is the USB prober some software that you have running or it an external (hardware) sniffer - have you tried without this prober?

- Have you tried using a different USB port?

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks, Chris
