The hybrid AC/DC solar energy system for use in home projects is a standalone solar PV system that converts sunlight to electrical energy and stored in battery bank. Energy can be utilized to power low power home appliances like lighting or charging of consumer electronics via USB adapter.
The mbed NXP LPC1768 microcontroller will read the electrical parameters of the system using analog function and display it via a LCD display panel. A DC to DC buck converter is used to convert 12V from battery to 5V for powering up the microcontroller and LCD display panel.
