Step-by-step guide to configuring Windows for PPP-Blinky¶
This guide was made using Windows 8.1.
If you use a different version of Windows, your steps may look slightly different.
Use Device Manager to verify your mbed board USB serial port is working¶
Use Device Manager to ensure your virtual serial port is visible.
In the example below, the mbed LPC1768 board registered as "mbed Serial Port (COM3)"
Check with your board vendor to ensure your mbed board's firmware is up to date.
Check with your board vendor to ensure your mbed board's USB driver on your PC up to date.
Double-click on the serial port to open it's properties windows, and set the baud rate and parameters as follows:
