Introduction:

This project uses this opportunity to use ARM MBED fast prototyping system for developing an “Aquarium Environment system”.

 

 

 

 

 

The salient features of this project is

 

 

·         Control the aquarium temperature using a temperature sensor

 

 

·         Automatic lighting of the aquarium using preset 24hrs timer and LDR

 

 

·         Automatic food dispensing system for the fishes

 

 

·         Audio visual alarm indicating the cleaning of filter of the aquarium

 

 

·         An LCD status of the aquarium on a 16 X 2 char display LCD

 

 

 

 

 

Apart from these basic functionality we can plan for a web server interface where in the status of the aquarium can be polled using a web browser or wap application of a mobile phone. Also we should be able to control aquarium parameters remotely.

 

 

 

Requirement:

Hardware

 

  • Mbed prototyping board
  • Temperature sensor
  • LDR, relays and bulb
  • Food dispenser
  • LED and buzzer
  • 16 X 2 char LCD

 

Software

 

  • Web compiler
  • C, C++ coding skill set
