instant typewriter
The idea is to have a MCU powered text editor that connects to standard PC monitor and keyboard, but start-up and run instantly when you want to write something down. Just like a plain old typewriter.
The MCU can be mbed, usbizi, or even arduino. The display for text can be MicroVGA board, which also reads PS2 keyboard input.
The USB storage device can be Flash drive or SD card.
The software piece implements a text editor.
