I am working on a home energy monitoring system. I shall sample, store and manipulate values from voltage and current front end setups within working conditions of the MBED. This will allow me to calculate the RMS, apparent power, actual power, kwh, and cost estimation The MBED will be the heart of this system. I shall be using two XBEE modules to communicate. One device will sit on the base device with an ethernet connection and the other on a remote device which will have an LCD and a few other bells and whistles.
If there will be enough time on my hands, i plan on making an iPhone app for it. it will not be polished but it will work! Most of the work is already done and i shall be uploading the entire project here soon
