Google Cloud IoT Device SDK port for Mbed OS
Google Cloud IoT Device SDK port for Mbed OS
This library provides the port of the Google Cloud IoT Device SDK for Embedded C for Mbed OS. It can be used to connect devices running Mbed OS to the Google IoT Core over MQTT.
To use this library, an Mbed OS application needs to * get the default instance of NetworkInterface and connect to the Internet. * ensure the clock is set to the actual date and time as credentials require that.
Then it will be able to use APIs from the Google cloud IoT Device SDK.
An example demonstrating the use of this library has been provided as part of the official Mbed OS examples here.
Summary
- This library depends on the Google Cloud IoT Device SDK for Embedded C available here.
- This SDK port follows the steps listed in SDK docs found here.
- The “Config header” and the “Platform Types” requirements can be found in the library under ‘mbed/include/’
- The “Platform layer” port can be found under ‘mbed/src/’ . As a minimum, a time function, random number generator, TLS, heap memory management, network implementation are required. More details on this are provided here.
