Weird problem powering up mbed through laptop.
The main LED on the mbed doesn't light up when i connect it through laptop (USB2.0) using the USB cable that comes along when you purchase an mbed. (Both the laptop's USB port and USB cable is working correctly)
I used the same USB cable and a external power supply of 5V, 1A for the following troubleshooting.
WORKING - when i connect it using the circuit design shown below
NOT WORKING - when i remove all the resistor from D- and D+
WORKING - when i connect the power supply directly into Vin pin.
The mbed is notified in the laptop when i connect the 5V output into Vin and USB cable into laptop at the same time.
Any idea why the mbed doesn't power up through laptop?
