Unable to Import a Program

Using the MBED online compiler.

It get stuck at: Importing Program.... Please wait. I have left this running for hours, and nothing happens.

I was trying to import other programs into MBED, and that was not working. I thought that trying this simple process would help me debug what I was doing wrong, but I could not get this to work either.

The process I have used is: Open a sample project from the STM32L053 (i.e. blinky) I get the program to compile and run. I right click on the program and select export. I keep the default target and toolchain, and export. This creates a zip file in my downloads directory (Nucleo_blink_led_sw4stm32_nucleo_l053r8.zip) I go back to MBED, and select IMPORT. I select the tab for UPLOAD, and at the bottom click CHOOSE FILE I select the ZIP file that I just created from the export from before, and click OPEN. The file shows in the list, and I select IMPORT! I keep the default options (local files, programs, and the name), and click IMPORT It will remain stuck at Importing.... please wait.... It is not possible to stop this without closing the browser tab.

What am I doing wrong?

I appreciate all of the responses. Importing the files one-by-one is not an option. The zip file created with the export is 384 files, buried in sub-folders, sub-sub-folders, and sub-sub-sub-folders. This seems a bit excessive for me to dig out all of these files and upload them one-by-one.

Nothing wrong on your side. Import has been broken for a very very very long time. I recently re-checked and got the same results as you. I ended up having to drag-and-drop every single piece of code back on to the IDE and was able to "import" my project. Sigh..

I am also suffering from this problem of import badly.

Some problem with mbed compiler .

If mbed support can solve this issue, it will be great!!

I have the same problem. Whatever I try to import as a Zip-File, it's not possible. Single files can imported, but no Zip. I also wait for fixing this problem. Regards, Kevman

Even importing mbed-dev library into a brand new empty project doesn't work ! I mean... Are we supposed to conclude that ide.mbed.com is no longer supported and doomed to be abandoned by its user ? As it stands, it is completely broken and cannot be used at all !

RIP MBED ?

Is there some way to import uVision projects to mbed online?

Hi Luiz - no there is not an import operation from uVision. Have you actually built an Mbed project under uVision from scratch or are you simply trying to migrate a bare metal uVision project to use Mbed? Please create a new question for this topic with the details of what you are trying to accomplish and we will assist you. Regards - Ralph, Team Mbed

No . Trying to upload zip file today, and it fails.

A solution would be appreciated.

Hi Matt - I just double checked that a library and full program could be imported successfully. What OS and browser are you using? What's the size of the zip file? Are you getting an error on the operation or just not seeing the upload occur? - Ralph, Team Mbed
