Mbed Board not showing up as a Device !!

Hi, I have windows 10 on my pc, once i connect my mbed board, it is not showing up as a device. I have tried updating the usb drivers !! Any inputs on this ?

Hello SB,

This could mean that the board's firmware is out of date and you may need to update it. Can you comment what type of board you are using and its firmware version? Additionally, you can try swapping out the usb cable and seeing if that is the cause of the problem. Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Karen, I am using GR Lychee Board. Usb cable does might not be a problem, bcoz the board get connected and powered up. Its not getting recognised. Thanks sbw

Hi SB,

I would try to connect the board differently to see if the connection is the problem. Even if the board is getting powered, it still may have a bad connection:

  • connect the board into a different USB port on your computer
  • connect the board to a different computer
  • connect the board using a different USB cable

If none of the steps above are helping, you can try upgrading the firmware for your GR Lychee Board following the instructions below:
