DAPLink on Sino:bit

I recently bought a Sino:bit for use in a class and was excited to start playing with it. In attempting to try out a quick program I did something which destroyed its ability to enumerate as "MICROBIT." In looking on the DAPLink page for Micro:bit, I found the instructions and code to reprogram the bootloader firmware. According to the diagram, my system is not "bricked" because it does enumerate as "MAINTENANCE" when following the reset/poweron instructions. Unfortunately, no attempts to load the firmware have succeeded; it indicates (sometimes) that it was unable to burn the firmware in the "Fail.txt" file. If I look at the "Detail.txt" file I find:

DAPLink Firmware - see https://mbed.com/daplink Version: 0234 Build: Oct 12 2015 14:39:34

Unfortunately, all attempts to locate the DAPLink code for the sino:bit have failed to find anything and I can't find a repository that might contain the initial demo program installed on it either.

At this point it only comes up as "MAINTENANCE" (when reset) and if just plugged in, is completely ignored by the host system (PC or Mac). Any help to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I have a second board but I'm very nervous to mess with it because I don't want it to end up in this same state. I'm figuring that if I can't get out of this state, any mistakes with the other one will just brick it as well.

Any pointers? Larry
