NFCLamp failed with error 14

I followed the example online connected the pins as stated in the circuit diagram but when monitoring the board i get the following in putty : [ERROR] Module pn532_cmd.c - Line 493 :Failed with error 14

any advice will be greatly appreciated

I suggest you ask this directly to the owner of the NFCLamp project instead of in the general questions area as you will be more likely to get a expert answer.
