New to mbed. Few problems interfacing the board with macOS Sierra
Hello people! I am new to MBED and I am using it for one of my courses. I am using the online IDE but I'm not able to drag and drop the .bin files into the board. Are there any drivers that I have to manually install before I can start copy pasting the .bin files on to the board or should it work normally?

Hi Nitinram,
So you are able to compile programs from the online IDE? Does the bin find its way on to your computer somewhere? Is the issue dragging the binary to the device?

That problem had been solved. Actually there was no problem at all. Sorry it was my bad. I assumed that the controller also works as a storage device and was expecting to see the bin file even after copying it to the controller. But apparently it gets removed once the program is uploaded.
But now I'm not sure as to how get it to print characters serially. Do I require a terminal emulator or will the default terminal be sufficient?
Thanks in advance.

In terms of printing characters to serial, no driver is needed for Mac.
Have a look at the emulator cool term: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31352/coolterm

I've got it to print serial characters on the terminal using the screen /dev/tty/usbmodem1423 command. But after the first attempt I'm getting a terminal error which says "Sorry, could not find a PTY" screen is terminating. Any advice on how on to solve this? It works again if I unplug the device and connect it again, but only once.
