Making a breadboard connection??

I can't seem to understand how to connect the seven segment 4 bank LED to the mBed LPC1768 on a breadboard without using resistors.

The best thing to do is to take a look at examples on this site of how to connect such a device,

For example:

This should be easily applicable to the LPC1768
