Is mbed-dev going to be updated?

The pre-built mbed library has been updated a few times since mbed OS 5 was released, but mbed-dev seems to have been abandoned. As a result, it's missing several important bug fixes, and is incompatible with the updated mbed-rtos library. I realize eventually everyone is supposed to switch to mbed OS, but right now it comes with a huge memory penalty that makes it useless on the smaller microcontrollers. Is it too much to ask for mbed-dev to be supported for as long as mbed and mbed-rtos are supported?

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the question, i'll get back to you ASAP with specifics.

Hi Neil -

We've been planning to make the source sync when a release is made to compliment the binary release, no longer syncing when a commit is added. We should have this running again with the next release.

PS: Look for some great memory size reductions in mbed OS coming soon!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. mbed os 5 is not fully tested for all the current boards and it's very frustrating.
