can't do drag and drop programming of stm32f746-Disco in windows 7 64 bit
I have an STM32F746DISCO board that I have been using with mbed on my personal windows 10 laptop. Everything works great. My new employer bought me a laptop with windows 7 installed. I loaded the ST-Link drivers and logged in to my mbed account on win7. When I try to drag and drop the new bin file to the board in mBed I am told that I do not have permissions to copy there.
I down loaded the st-link firmware update utility and flashed the latest firmware into the DISCO board. No change in the problem. I can still probram using my windows 10 laptop. So I checked all the permissions on Win10 against those in Win7. They look the same as far as I can tell. Menus and selections have changed in Win10 from Win7 so it is not an exact match. The company has not approve upgrading to Win10 so for now I am stuck with Win7.
Any thoughts or ideas as what I can change to get pas the permissions? BTW, Win7 lets me see the the two files visible on the DISCO board and I can open the website through the link in the device. So I must have at least read access tot he DISCO board.
