when i plug in the kl25Z board (sloooow)
the windows 7 goes into a big checking dirs sequence and comes up with autoplay box and asks 'do you want to format the E drive' (which is my KL25z drive. all very tedious and slow every time i want to load a bin file . how do i stop this annoyance ?

no anti virus running .it works ok on another machine but slow on a netpad toshiba yes i can drag and drop tne bin file

Have you tried on another computer to see if you notice the same behaviour? Do you have an anti-virus running? If yes try to deactivate it to see if it makes any difference.
Can you drag n drop a .bin anyway or not?
