What is the node pictured below the Conduit?

Well the LoRa node in the picture is neither the mDot or the SX1276MB1xAS.

So what is it? Why didn't you mention it in the article?

I am searching for more nodes and I would like to know what it is.

looks like a mdot without the shield.

Correct. mDot can be used without shield, just need to solder directly to the pins :-) Pins are pretty OK size to do that. Or integrate the module into your own designs.
