Install mbedWinSerial without board connected

Hi,

I need to install the mbed Serial driver on a school full of computers (about 600) but I cannot because the driver requires a board be connected to each PC during install.

Are there any hidden options / switches to remove this restriction so that I can script the install like I would with any other package we deploy? If this can't be done there's no way I'm manually plugging a device into each PC and then installing the driver myself - our students will have to go without.
