Adding a new device to mbed. The device is very similar to the FRDM-K64F.
Hi,
I'm working for one of the mbed partner companies and we have a dev board which is closely related to the FRDM-K64F.
We should create a new mbed target for this device. I am not sure if this is the process described in https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/mbed-SDK-porting ?
In any event, I can see that we will need a target called something like cmsis-core-partner and that this will need to be added to the module.json file in the cmsis-core module.
My question is, how do I do that? Who do I ask in order to make a change to the cmsis-core module?
Thanks, John
John, are you targeting mbed Classic or mbed OS?
posted by Jan Jongboom 05 Apr 2016Hi Jan: mbed OS.
posted by John Beattie 05 Apr 2016Do you have a partner contact within ARM? We had a porting guide at https://docs.mbed.com/docs/porting-guide/en/latest/mbed_OS/, but it 404s now. The link you referenced is mbed Classic only.
Also: http://forums.mbed.com is where all the OS people hang out :-)

Thanks for the other pointers, very useful.
