WIZnet_Library for W5100 working on ST Nucleo F401RE?

Did anybody got WIZnet_Library for a W5100 working on a ST Nucleo F401RE? I have an Arduino Ethernet shield with a W5100. The MAC and IP addresses read as 0's. Perhaps this shield was a bad choice? An suggestion for an other ethernet board which works with the Nucleo would be welcome as well. Any help would be very welcome. Best regards, Jack.

Hi Christopher, yes that's what I used too, but for me it doesn't work. Nice to know the code should be fine. I saw the SPI signals with the Saleae Logic Analyzer. Perhaps I just got a dead shield.
