Does the EA GPS Receiver Board actually generate the $PGTOP message?
I am using the GPS Receiver Board both with an external antenna. According to the PA6H datasheet, there should be a $PGTOP message indicating antenna status. I have modified the MTK3339 library to look for this message and also to dump raw messages from the board, but I never see the message.
Internet sources indicate there are variant PA6H firmware versions with different PGTOP message behaviors. I have tried sending the PGCMD described at http://forum.trenz-electronic.de/index.php?topic=273.0 to enable the PGTOP message to no avail (and no acknowledgement message, so maybe I am sending the message incorrectly, just doing a simple write to the serial port).
Does the EA GPS Receiver Board support the $PGTOP message? If so, what configuration steps must be taken to enable the message?
