Do Nucleo boards work with Mac OSX?

I read that the Nucleo requires a USB drivers for Windows? Does a Mac need extra drivers like Windows? Or does it just work without additional USB drivers?

Im planninng on getting the L476 but you guys with F401s have more experience I want to make sure before ordering my board. Thank you,

You should not need additional drivers on Mac OS X. I am using Mac OS X 10.10.5 with the Nucleo F401.

The L476 should have the latest firmware since support has only been added for that board in the most recent firmware.

But for other boards you probably should update the ST-Link firmware as described in the platform page for your board. The ST page talks about some problems on Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite with earlier firmwares < V2.J23.M10. There's a java app to do the update on Mac OS X.

Thank you very much. That is such a relief. Appreciate the answer.

Is this still true? Under High Sierra 10.13.6 when I try to do the stsw-link007 update, the tool doesn't find it. With VMFusion running, when I plug in the nucleo board (F303K8) there is no offer to give it to the VM or MAC OSX.
