Error: Target "ST_PLACEHOLDER" is not recognized when running the Nucleo_printf sample from Team_ST

Hello,

I've been trying to get a NUCLEO-F446RE board up and running with one of the sample programmes from Team_ST. Unfortunately when I hit Compile, the compiler errors early on with "Error: Target "ST_PLACEHOLDER" is not recognized".

I've updated the mbed library to Release 105 which is 2 days old;

I tried changing the platform to the NUCLEO-F411RE and it compiled fine so does it sound as though mbed support for the 446 isn't ready yet?

Cheers,

Steve

EDIT (3/9/15): The release note for 106 seemed to indicate that this board was now supported however after updating the mbed libs to release 106:ba1f97679dad I'm still getting the same compilation error; any ideas?

I have a Nucleo-F446ZE and it's not fixed

Hello Thomas, I'm not sure what the difference is between the 446RE and 446ZE but it builds with mbed versions 106 and the latest mbed version 118 for the 446RE. I can't seem to find the 'ZE on the list of platforms (https://developer.mbed.org/platforms/) so I'm assuming that it must be a very recent dev board? You might be better off posting a new comment concerning the 446ZE as it may get more visibility by the mbed team. My experience has been that the mbed and ST staff are fairly good at responding to issues.

Thanks,

Steve

Hello,

we are able to reproduce this, once it gets fixed, we will let you know.

OK, should be fixed now, please add the platform again (that will apply correct config).
