What is firmware, where is it programmed/flashed and what exactly is .if file?
Hi,
I would like to know what exactly firmware is and where it is flashed when I update mbed firmware.
If it is programmed in flash, will erasing flash will erase the firmware? Or is it that some section of flash is specifically allocated for firmware.
I could see that format of mbed firmware file is .if. Can you explain something about this format?
