RX, TX

This is clearly a nood question but, when you declare the object: AX12 myax12 (p9, p10, 1);

You declare separate pins for RX and TX while the AX12 has a single pin for both directions of communication. So how do you split that pin? Or does that pin go to both RX and TX pins on the MCU?
