my FRDM-KL25Z has a boot loader version 1.09 and a application version 0.00 and i don't know what do i have to make to start using it??

The same thing is happening to me, i also cant get out of bootloarder mode...

I personally like to use OpenSDA Firmware and Windows USB Driver(s) from P & E Micro

http://www.pemicro.com/opensda/

It allows me to use both mbed and freescale KDS (Kinetis Design Studio) with same FRDM-KL25Z.

Hello! My problem was that I was trying to download a firmware in windows 8.1 I found a windows 7, and it worked just fine. Thanks for the help!
