Will the CAN API work with the nucleo?

I know its a total noob question and I missed something, but I thought I had it all worked out. I changed the device files, got the variable straightened out, and did the declarations, but when I compile the code, I get linker errors from retarget.o. I'm sure there has to be an easier way for a noob like me. FYImost of my prprogramming experience is Arduino based. And when I search the forum I keep getting no results found. Please don't do it for me, just need some help. Trying to learn something new. Thank you in advance.

please use google for now , search is not functional at the moment. CAN as I can tell us supported only by some LPC devices. Yoiu can look inside HAL for you traget if it has implemented CAN

After going through MANY pages, I found my answer. I missed all the src code documentation. Will see what I can come up with.
