Im confused. Can someone please explain this to me in a simpler way? I am new to coding so I barely know anything.

That wiki page was a mess, someone had pasted a large amount of unformatted code into the wiki page. It's now a little bit better.
Check the line number that the error gives (and maybe the lines immediately before) for a missing quotation mark. If that doesn't help please post your code here. Put <<code>> on a blank line before the code and <</code>> on a line after it and it will be correctly formatted automatically rather than showing up as an unreadable mess.
