mbed Serial Driver & LPC1549: "No mbed controllers found"

I'd love to try MBED - but am stuck with the Win Serial port driver not finding the NXP LPC1549 board.

Any LPC1549 users out there? What is the 'fix' or workaround?

TIA!

Standard question: Did you update the interface firmware to the latest version?

Second one: You are using the correct USB port? So the one you also use to program it?

Accepted Answer

Firmware update: Good question! I didn't know that was an option or needed. VERY new to this platform - many simple things are still Great Mystery :-).

I CAN access the board via the LPXExpresso 7 IDE, so I know that USB port is functional. Could you point me to info regarding the process of firmware update? NXP or mbed?

I don't have the board myself, so I am not familiar with it, but it is a common issue :).

The platform page has a link: http://mbed.org/platforms/LPCXpresso1549/. I believe it is a bit more complicated than most others, but still shouldn't be rocket science either :)

Erik - Your mention of the needed update was enough to get me on the trail. While a tad convoluted, I've managed to use the "DFU" utility, update the board, and now the mbed drivers have installed properly!

Tks!
