UART logic level converter needed for KL-25Z?

Hello, I plan to use UART1 (PTD2/3). Also, I will be using a external device that has logic level of 5V. I hope that should be fine and I won't need a logic level converter. Right? TIA, -Gitesh

The KL25Z is imo very nice, but sadly no 5V tolerant inputs. So it won't enjoy 5V at its input. But unless you are using a high speed UART connection you can simply make either a resistive voltage divider. Even a few kilo-Ohm resistor in series with your wire should work, the ESD diode should do the rest.

Still can't edit posts, so here: No guarantees!

Thanks I will use a IC based level converter. Appreciate your help.
