Why can't I accept an answer in the Questions section?

I posted a question, and got a good answer. But when I click "thanks (accept this answer)" nothing happens.

I would like to set my questions as Green==AnswerAccepted, but they remain Blue even after clicking "accept" on an answer

20150114 Some seem to work OK now. Hmmm.

Today works in Chrome, but not Internet Explorer 11
