Ticker with start/stop functionality or Timer with callbacks?

Hi, I'm looking for a class that share both Ticker (callbacks) class' and Timer (start/stop) class' functionality.

Can you describe your use case?

Sure, sorry... I'm trying to implement an internal clock for a midi device. Basically, what is needed: ability to attach callbacks and start/stop functionality.
