Hello world program no output

Trying to see my output via hyper terminal in windows XP…… I didn’t install the driver software……Is it need for windwosX P?

Short answer: yes.

Also it is useful to mention which helloworld code you are trying. Answer is yes regardless though. On windows 8 at least it seems to install it automatically, possibly after manually installing the first one. But normally windows XP you should install it manually.

the codes which i used were http://mbed.org/handbook/Serial ... the first code on the page and also the first code in the "EXAMPLES"
