HDK LocalFileSystem

I notice that the HDK for the LPC1768 does not have the same Atmel flash storage IC. Is it using flash available within the LPC11U35? Using the features available through the firmware for the 11U35 included in the HDK, is it possible to use the local file system for a settings file? Would this file be stored on the 11U35 in that case?

The HDK sadly has no Local File System.
