Tera term not working

Hi,

I am new to mbed and I have no problem with the compiler. However, when I try to use teraterm 3.1, teraterm does not see the mbed in the pop down window of serial ports. I have followed the steps outlined in the mbed website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you connect the mbed before lauching teraterm ?

Have you installed the serial driver for the mbed on your PC? IIRC you need to do this for every mbed for the PC if you're wanting to use the serial interface via the USB connection.

Please how do you install the serial driver for the mbed?

I had this problem with an older version of Tera Term, it wouldn't show me COM ports over a certain number (Mine's on COM16). I uninstalled it and installed v4.78 and it started working again. You can check which COM port your mbed is on in Device Manager under "Ports (COM & LPT)", it'll be called "mbed Serial Port (COMXX)".
