61 pos 0.3mm pitch FPC connector for display expansion

Hello,

I already ordered one but could you clarify "61 pos 0.3mm pitch FPC connector for display expansion" by giving example of screens that could be used and software package to manage those screens.

Thanks

Stephane

Hi Stephane,

We are working on adding all the documentation for the board. It will be ready during week 37. The basic structure is that the FPC is connected between the LPC4088 QuickStart module and a base board. The base board in turn connect to an LCD of choice. We will provide one cheap base board for this as a reference implementation.

There is no standard LCD pinning so it is not possible to directly connect an LCD to the LPC4088 QuickStart Board.

Hello there.

Do we still need to have the Experiment Base Board ((http://www.embeddedartists.com/products/boards/lpc4088_exp_bb.php)) to be able to use a LCD. I have looked and i cannt seem to find anything that says otherwise, just double checking.

For the pinout you have to wait for a answer from Embedded Artists. For the software you can use the emWin lib. NXP has bought a licence for using with NXP devices. See http://www.lpcware.com/content/project/emwin-graphics-library.
