Chronograph sensors?
Hello all,
I have been looking at building a chronograph using two break beam sensors mounted at a known distance. Then inputting the signals into the mbed and have it calculate and display velocity of a projectile (not much more than 300fps).
I have messed around with light sensors before, the last one being a temt6000. Now on a scope depending on the light levels I can get a decent response within 30ns. I believe that will be fast enough for this project however using ambient light sensors isnt ideal.
I guess the question is, what sensors would you recommend for this project, and has anyone done anything like this before?
