I had a run of MagJack breakout boards done for my own projects. I need about 10, but it was more economical to have a bit over 100 made! So, I have 100 extra boards available.
If anyone is interested, I'm happy to sell the remaining boards. They take a TyCo 6605834-1 (or 1-6605834-1) MagJack (printed right on the board) - selected for availability and low cost. See details below.
The board breaks out all of the pins on the magjack, including the POE rectifiers, the LEDs and the chassis.
It was designed to be the same width as the mbed. There is an image of a populated unit with an mbed plus a blank PCB below.
The MagJacks can be bought from a number of sources:
- http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?vendor=0&keywords=6605834

If you would like one or more, I'm happy to sell them at Aus$2.50 each (that's about US$2.40). Payment would be via PayPal. In Australia, add 10% GST (Au$2.75 ea). I will include an Australian tax invoice and sheet with the pinout on it.
Postage:
- For up to 5 I can simply send them airmail, which is another Aus$1.45.
- For more than 5 it would need to be air parcel post at Au$9.55 to USA/Canada, or Au$11.35 to UK/Europe. Postage takes about 7-10 days to most places.
If you would like some, drop me a line at phil@thedimonds.com and I'll send payment information back to you. Note that this is not a business for me (I have my own consulting company, this is just to spread around the joy!) so I may take a day or two to send them out from payment.
