VArSpeedServo library for MBED?

There is a rather nice library for Arduino named VarSpeedServo.h and as the name implies it allows setting the speed of commanded servo moves. I have successfully used this library many times in several Arduino projects. A newer version is available with some useful added functions: See: https://github.com/netlabtoolkit/VarSpeedServo
I would love to be able to use this in the MBED environment, but I am afraid porting it is beyond my capability...
I am hoping that this posting will pique someone's interest enough to have them attack this "opportunity" and give us all a nice addition to the already rich MBED library collection!
