Hi , I do not know anything about ethernet connections, I am trying to connect the mbed board to PC through ethernet port . I tried to run the TCPEchoServer and faced the following problems. I had problems while initializing with DHCP, the output screen only showed The IP address is and no IP address was printed. So i tried initializing it with static IP address of 10.2.131.195 and tried the program , is this ok ? When i ran this program in the mbed and tried to connect the pc by running the python script I got an error saying [winError 10065 ] A socket operation was attempted to reach an unreachable host. I have connected the cable wires directly to the mbed pins with orange - RD- , orange/white - RD+ ,Green-TD- , green/white-TD+ , I tried the other specified combinations too it didnt work. When connected to the mbed via ethernet cable the pc shows unknown network and no network connection . Is this due to any problem in the hardware connection ? Could somebody please clear some of these doubts , Thank you
