Initial state of mbed pins

21 Jan 2011

Hello,

It appears that if I connect the mbed SPISlave lines (p11, NC, p13, p14) to the MAX2769 (DATA, CLK, CS), the latter chip does not start correctly. I am thinking now that, after programming, those mbed lines are (and that's good) INPUTS (MOSI, SCK, SSEL)... I wonder if their state changes at boot time and there is a jiffy when they push current (they can drive 40mA!?) into the output ports of the MAX2769 causing some kind of latch. At the minute I overcome this connecting the SPISlave lines after each physical reset... perhaps I could use diodes?

Cheers, Michele
