Ethernet Connectivity Problems

Hello

I have the sparkfun breakout board for the Magjack and have connected it as described in the numerous posts in the forum (great work!), but I cannot seem to get the mbed to communicate on ethernet. The program compiles and loads without errors, but seems to hang with the second led on mbed flashing. (the program supplied by Michael Wei...thanks!) Using wireshark to watch the ethernet, there is no dchp request being sent from mbed. Any suggestions as to where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking at this post....I found the answer...

Another post in the forum about Ethernet speed setup indicates the PHY is being setup for 100mbit only. As I had the mbed connected to a 10meg hub to use Wireshark. There appeared to be no traffic. When the mbed was plugged into a 10/100 switch every thing worked as it should. Many thanks to the post in the Forum about this problem. Great work and thanks again!
