MBED as remote monitor (GPRS) to Pachube

I am very interested in using an Mbed to remotely monitor a solar device to update data in Pachube via the internet. I am a novice and would appreciate all guidance in this respect: which modem? (would ideally like both GPRS internet data and GPS position) code, libraries, examples, etc. Thanks George

Hi George Pieter, My Mbed has a serial (RS485) connection with a solar device (invertor is a Danfoss ULX). It measures voltage, current and Power AC, DC in realtime. Data is saved on SD card.

From the MBED literature and examples it appears that the challenge is to get the correct modem that can function correctly to achieve the Internet connection via GPRS and then write the data to PACHUBE. George.
