It is possible for the website to indicate you have left Beta mode, but still be forced to use the Beta mbed compiler. I believe this is probably just a cookie issue when using multiple computers.
To replicate:
Log into mbed.org on 2 computers. On computer A sign up for Beta mode. On computer B load any mbed.org page. Exit Beta mode on computer A. Browse around mbed.org on computer B and you will see you are no longer in Beta mode, since the Beta superscript no longer appears above your name in the upper right. However clicking the Compiler link on computer B will still take you to the Beta version of the compiler.
The fix for the user is simple enough. Just sign up for beta mode again on Computer B and then exit beta mode again.
