PMW3901MB | Far-Field Optical Motion Tracking Sensor

PixArt Imaging's PMW3901MB sensor is a far-field X-Y motion tracking sensor that can track at any distance from 80mm to infinity. See the notes below for common applications of this sensor as well as guides on how to bring it up.

Common Applications

One of the most common applications for this sensor is drone stabilization. In the past, users have modified PixArt's ADNS-3080 mouse sensor to act as an optical flow sensor, but now PixArt has a dedicated sensor for this type of application - the PMW3901MB!   • *Note that a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor is needed in this application to determine height. The PMW3901MB cannot detect height alone.*
