Samsung Chromebook

Will I be able to use the mbed compiler on my Chromebook and connect to the FRDM-KL25Z Freescale Freedom board.

No personal experience, however: the compiler shouldn't be a problem, it even runs on tablets. For programming I also don't expect issues. Unlocking the mbed bootloader might require a windows PC, but besides that it should just work on a chromebook: If it can use USB drivers it should also be able to program the KL25Z.

I also expect the serial port to work, but of that I am a bit less certain.

Thanks Erik, I'm able to run the compiler and I can unlock the bootloader at work so I'll give it a try.

@Steve Hoke : Did you succeed on making this work on a Chromebook ? The real question is actually: if you plug the KL25Z on the Chromebook to you get the MBED mass storage up and running ? Thanks

Yes it work just fine. Just as Erik stated you will need to use a windows computer first to unlock the bootloader then you are good to go.
